OUR STORY
Snowshill Alpacas is owned by Roger and Mary Mount. After seeing alpacas at the royal show in 2001, we decided to purchase 3 boys in 2002 in hopes they would keep the grass down and look good whilst doing so! Soon after, we decided to purchase three girls so we could have a few cria and since then we've been hooked!
We now have over 250 Huacaya alpacas and around 50 Suri alpacas. We have many working stud males, most of which have won Championships and some even Supreme Championships. We are breeding many exceptional show winning alpacas and also love to experiment with our breeding to find the best and most interesting combinations!
Snowshill Alpacas progressed from a hobby to a business. We have gained a considerable amount of knowledge on all aspects of caring for, breeding and showing alpacas. We are very happy to assist new and existing owners whenever possible and, if we are not able to assist, we are very happy to put you in touch with other responsible breeders who can.
Roger is on the Heart of England Alpaca Committee, a member of the South West Alpaca Group (SWAG) and current Chairman of the West Shires Alpaca Group
